Chapter 12 - Passion Or Love, Always Began From Improper Thoughts
He was scaring her, and testing her.
He just wanted to know if she really liked him. If she really liked him, then how much she liked him.
But, Ye Jiacheng didn’t expect Shi Jian to agree so quickly. She looked so obedient, her eyes twinkled with an adorable light. This feeling was just like when he’d asked her whether she wanted a lollipop. She’d happily nodded.
This led to him being the uncomfortable one.
Ye Jiacheng had a bit of doubt. Did Shi Jian actually understand what he said? But he didn’t want to repeat or explain himself; it would imply that he felt he was beneath her, giving him a wretched appearance.
Shi Jian was still staring at him, with her pair of sparkling eyes that could entrance him. But, he couldn’t see through her. An air conditioning unit was set in the corner of the restaurant. It softly droned as it circulated a warm breeze. A drop of sweat gathered at the tip of Shi Jian’s nose, her pink lips slightly puckered. The stewed fish in the pot today really was too spicy, her mouth became the color of a hot pepper. Her skin, Ye Jiacheng looked at the sliver around her neck, became even more pale and oily.
Passion or love, always began from improper thoughts.
Ye Jiacheng loosened his hands, then straightened his body. He picked up two napkins and handed them to her, “Alright.”
Shi Jian accepted them, and lightly wiped her mouth. She was full, and her heart was satisfied.
Ye Jiacheng also looked satisfied.
The two of them walked out of this bustling fish restaurant together. The damp cold air immediately blew at them. Shi Jian was warm all over, but still put her hands inside her pockets out of habit. She turned to Ye Jiacheng, “It’s already 1:00P.M, you should leave quickly. Drive safe.”
Ye Jiacheng lifted his wrist, looked at his watch, and said: “I still have time, I’ll bring you to the school first.”
Shi Jian helplessly yet sweetly asked, “You won’t be late?”
“I won’t.” He was aware of the time.
